A. BASICS
- The staff have all say. By joining this site, you agree to follow these rules and the requests of the staff, particularly the admins. You also agree that we have the right to inflict punishment if you don't. Don't mean to scare you off, but that's best covered early on.
- The usual, no...
- The posting limit is 200 words, or two good-sized paragraphs. If you're real close, we won't call you on it, but if you're lingering down around 100 or so, we will ask you to up it a bit. This is something really easy, people.
- The character limit is three characters per clan. You may have one loner(or one rogue, or one kittypet). This doesn't count if a character is for a side-wide plot only (must be approved by a staffie). Also, make sure to be active with the characters you make too.
- One character per account! Your account username should be the character's name and nothing more. No symbols or exclamation points. Please put your user name in all lower case
- A character must be fully accepted before being roleplayed. Only in major plot circumstances will this rule be bent, and only with the permission of one or both admins.
- We follow the same general rules as the Warriors books when it comes to names. All characters have two-part names. They will have a prefix (ex. Fire--, Blue--, White--, ect) and a suffix (ex. --heart, --star, --storm, ect).
- The following rules stand about the naming of a character throughout its life:
- Names of clan cats must be natural and words that the cats in their current forest would realistically know. This rules out Twoleg items/words, and animals/plants from far off parts of the world.
- Under the category of "natural" are animals, plants, landforms, elements, some verbs, and some adjectives. There are too many names to list that do and don't follow this rule, so staff members will simply post on applications when they see a name that doesn't fall under "natural".
- The staff members and particularly the admins reserve the right to ask you to change your character's name if we feel it doesn't follow our naming rules.
- Loners may have more open names, considering they aren't tied down to a single place.
- For naming rules on the Druids, please see "THE DRUIDS". (ADD IN LINK, PLEASE)
- Every Clan cat is expected defend his or her Clan, even at the cost of his or her life.
- Never trespass or hunt on another Clan's territory. If a patrol catches him or her, they then have permission to chase the intruder off their land.
- Kits and elders should be fed first, and, unless they have special permission, apprentices cannot eat until the elders have all been fed.
- Prey is never killed for sport. Never kill anything unless someone plans on eating it. Remember to give StarClan thanks for its life.
- Kits must be six moons old in order to become an apprentice.
- Apprentices are made warriors when they are at least fourteen moons of age. And have been training for at least seven moons.
- New warriors must sit a silent vigil, and watch over the camp while the others sleep.
- A Clan cat cannot become a deputy without first having mentored at least one apprentice.
- If the leader of a Clan should die or retire, the deputy shall take his or her place.
- If the deputy dies or retires, the leader must choose a successor before moonhigh.
- Once every full moon the Clans shall meet in peace at a Gathering.
- Clan boundaries must be checked and marked by patrols daily. If trespassers are found, they are to be chased off.
- No warrior can ever ignore a kit in pain or danger, regardless of the Clan they belong to.
- The word of a Clan leader is also the Warrior Code.
- An honorable cat does not kill in battle, unless the opposing cats are outside the Warrior Code, or if he or she must kill in self-defense.
- A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
