Short: Black, orange, and white tortoiseshell she-cat with bright gold eyes
Appearance:
Fernpaw's appearance can be best described as an inverse of her mother's looks. While Wingedheart is primarily a white she-cat with splotches of black and orange, Fernpaw is mostly black and orange with patches of white. She is not as willowy and graceful as her mother, nor as lovely as some of her sisters, but the pattern of her pelt is attention getting and somewhat beautiful if one takes the time to appreciate it.
She is not as lithe and slender as some of the other females in the clan, taking more after her father Swiftclaw with a sturdier form that gives her strength and endurance rather than speed. Her form and face are built with curves rather than angles, a gently sloping shoulder leads to a rounded back and a long tail that helps her round figure keep her balance. Her head is almost perfectly round, accented by wide circular eyes that give her a look of permanant child-like innocence.
The coloring of her pelt is what sets her apart, and while anyone can see the family resemblance, the pattern sets Fernpaw apart from the rest. Almost her entire body is covered with dark ebony fur. Mingling in with her black pelt are several shades of orange, splashed here and there in her coat. Her belly is mostly white with white patches on her legs and all white paws. Her eyes are a few shades lighter than the orange of her pelt, a bright golden glow tinged with an amber hue around the pupils.
Personality: For emerging from a past so riddled in deceit and being named after a great leader who went astray, Fernpaw does not believe in lying even in the face of overwhelming odds. While most cats would agree that lying is not a good thing, usually, especially if their family or their own life is at stake, they will lie or engage in questionable behavior when it is the last possible option. Fernpaw will not. Whether she was taught this particular trait or whether she was born with it is a mystery. Fernpaw will not lie. Not to get herself out of a sticky situation or even to save her own life. She is still however a trustworthy cat and will take a friend's secret to the grave. If asked about it, she will simply not reply. However, she will not backstab, lie, or deceive anyone, even at great personal gain or to avoid great loss.
She is more of a quiet cat, preferring to spend her time with a few close friends rather than a large social group. If befriended, one will find that she is incredibly loyal and enjoyable to be around, her humor and soft smile only exposing itself to her closest friends and family.
Likes: Quiet, close friends, laughter
Dislikes: Noise, lies, cats who are overconfident and nosy
