name. lark-kit ] larkpaw ] larkflight age. zero moons
gender. femmeappearance. it becomes apparent in the moments cats first set their sight upon young lark-kit that she looks absolutely nothing like her brothers and instead seems to be composed of the other lines of tallstone and northwind. the only indication of her being her father's daughter is her soft, glowing blue eyes and of her mother, there is something in her step, the dancing paws pressing lightly across a broken canvas, that seems slightly recommencement of the former warrior.
her mother is the type of cat that is jawdroppingly beautiful and easily captivating, but it is not an unknown fact that lark-kit carries the same grace of her mother. so, the ability to being able to draw second, and third, lasting glances is not completely lost on her. in ways that westkit, in all his fabulous glory, is not able to, lark-kit is enchanting. her unique coloring that is quite unlike any other kit in the nursery seems to draw immediate attention without even trying and it is obvious that, even while looking nothing like northwind, she carries that same exact atmosphere that makes her simply irresistible. she will be as fabulous as westkit someday.
as is such the misfortune of cats who befall such a beauty, rumors are constantly spread about who lark-kit's real father is and while the connection of obvious beauty between the two she-cats are apparent, some doubt whether or not northwind has yet again laid a cheating paw. it would not be the first time, that is for sure. even if her father is probably the most unsure of any cat, lark-kit seems pleadingly insistent in this very fact: tallstone is her father.
and if one would actually look close enough, beneath the lines of her tortoiseshell coloring, they would see that it is true. their shade of blue is almost very nearly the same - her mother's blue-green is nothing close the brilliant, shimmering lake-water blue of lark-kits - with the exception that tallstone's is cast over in a softer filter, the once brilliant hue diminished by the years. in addition to this, lark-kit has a long, plumed tail with feathered edges that is both tabby-striped and dark in color, in striking similarity to Tallstone's own. (however, this could be argued that such a tail could be seen in almost any other cats. Small dainty paws touched the tips of slimmer limbs in white, milky strokes that seem awfully similar to Cinderpaw's own. And it is painfully obvious that Cinderpaw is Tallstone's son, not Castro's.
Most of the young kit is splashed in almost a marbled pattern, much paler in comparison to that of Westkit's or Desertkit's. It is a diluted hue compared to the rich brown of her mother's and is like a soft coffee-brown with cinnamon touches and ginger sparkles that compliment it rather well. This color diminishes as you get further up her frame and a pleasant creamy-white washes over her coat and fills in the lines that the darker patterns have left. Angular in figure, her face is shaped gently and her shoulders give a quite feminine slope, revealing a softer face that is to be greatly admired. Brilliant streaks of ginger line her high cheekbones, patches of her father's grey markings streaking the rest of her face and accompanied by splashes of white. Her limbs, smooth and slim, are rather tall but in almost perfect proportion, and washed in a mostly-ginger hue, leave for the patches of silver that were given to her by her father.
In the area of size, she is probably the most lacking of the rest of her litter. While both Westkit - with his high, broad shoulders - and Desertkit - with his tall, slim body - have smooth coats and above-average heights, Lark-kit has not been graced with the same height gene of Tallstone. Instead, she is rather small and ruffled, born probably as tiny and weak as is possible for the daughter of Northwind and Tallstone. If you look at her this way, she might be considered an orphan.
And yet, there is this simple brilliance about her that indicates otherwise, like a veil of sunshine covering every step that her parent's have left darkness. personality. and there is constantly days in which she did not exist in this world, and even more so that that wicked morninglight and her little devils were not alive. this is not to say, however, that she is the sort of depressed child who wishes to cut herself because her life is not going as a young kit's should, full of joy and happiness and little things that make the world go round, that instead it is suffocated by poison and resentment for all things wrong in the whirlpool her parents have created.
no, in fact, she would be the least cat to do any of these things. she is not weak, despite her bright, childish gaze and small, kitlike body and the fact that, out of her litter, she gives the best impression of someone who must be - under all circumstances - needs to be protected. lark-kit would refuse to believe any such accusation that she is weak and fragile and the classic porcelain doll that she believes her step-mother is, thought to be shattered in an instant if not cased correctly.
as a newborn kit, she was very warm and loving and perfect. she shone with the same brilliance her mother had, a glowing step to her smile, and there was nothing of this darker version that exists now. lark-kit was originally a very laughing, open child who's friendliness was accepted by all and even in the moons she could not see, in the moons she could not hear, she had learned to love all creatures big and small. quickly, though, her perfect world was shattered and so was the perfect shadow of the cat she used to be, revealing a hardcore of a kit called lark-kit who burns with such a fiery intensity that it sometimes seems as if she might explode.
when she was young, she was sweet and full of light, and while now she is not particularly full of darkness either, she is certainly not void of the hole in her heart, or of the poison that seems to flood it. despite how much she loves her father and mother, there has been a lasting affect on the young kit since tallstone has left them. she has lost the ability to trust people, lest the abandon her like he did, or they betray her, stealing a part of her with them, as morninglight did to their family.
as a result of this, lark-kit - when she is not sleeping - is often filled with a similar bitterness and anger that tallstone once held for northwind. however, this is not directed towards her father (she has a slight "daddy complex") and instead towards the evil devil who tore her perfect family apart. her name is morninglight and despite her incredibly misleading name, lark-kit is positive that she is as evil, as deceiving as the ghosts in her dreams. and so, the young kit also hates tallstone's third litter with a passion that her mother encourages, often bullying and pouncing on the pitiful things when they do not deserve it and frankly, least expect it.
yet, as far as most cats are concerned, lark-kit is not a bad kit. she is more like a misunderstood child, ignored by the cat she had admired and loved most, and instantly hating the devil who ripped tallstone apart from them, the devil - who she says - killed her mother. she is, in fact, as strikingly intelligent as her father, as swift as her mother, and is actually soft underneath it all, much like her older brother, Cinderpaw. however, she is still stubborn and bitter and angry, and refuses to believe that she is anything less of tallstone's only real daughter.
he loves her the most. he has to. or, at least, that's what she tells her self when it's so painfully obvious how much he really loves them, when he can barely look at them anymore. [/blockquote]

Name: Desertkit Age: Unborn
Short: Slim chocolate tabby tom with amber-green eyes
Appearance: Without a doubt, Desertkit is his mother's son, from his slender figure, so unlike his fathers, to his chocolate pelt of a similar hue. While comparable in height to his brother Westkit and towering over his tiny sister Lark-kit, he is not match for the broad shoulders and strong muscles that both Westkit and Tallstone posess. Desertkit has a thinner frame, although not delicate, more lean which makes him very fast, even though he lacks brute strength. Covering this figure is a light rich brown pelt with highlights of gold buried within his pelt, only visible when the sun hits him at just the right angle. His coat is overlapped with black stripes, a trace of his father. His face is very angular and pointed, much like his mother's, with high cheekbones and a delicate face. Overall his skinny frame allows him to weave quickly through the pine trees of RavineClan which is an asset to his movement. For a tom, his movements are not strong and commanding, but more lithe and willowy, and anyone can see the shadow of his mother in his steps. His eyes are unlike that of any of his siblings, including Cinderpaw. While his entire family has blue or green eyes, or some variation of this, most of his eye color is a bright amber, rimmed with emerald.
Personality:
While his whole family seems preoccupied with the drama and tension that has consumed the relationships between them so far, Desertkit considers himself far above that. Not that he doesn't have opinions, but he thinks that everyone would be better off forgiving and forgetting, rather than letting this poison seep through their veins that turn cats against one another. Everyone is his friend until they prove otherwise, and as far as Tallstone and Morninglight go, Desertkit is not in the least bit resentful, feeling that everyone is entitled to a degree of unbegrudged happiness.
His personality can best be described as cool and collected. He is slow to anger and while he listens to Lark-kit's angry comments about Morninglight and his half-sisters, he views her insecurities as petty and time-wasting. What does it matter if she is loved the most or the least and why is it worth worrying about? He can simply not understand and while he is a good listener, he wishes everyone would just get along. He keeps his head in even the worst situations, never falling prey to stress or urgency which reduce some of the best cats into jittery messes when something important is on the line. He never regrets his mistakes or beats himself up over them, simply vowing to do better the next time. He is a very laid-back cat in general and refuses to involve himself in the drama that other cats live for.
