Name: Steelpoint
Gender: Tom
Age: Twenty-two moons
Clan: BrookClan
Rank: Warrior
Appearance: Steelpoint is an above-average sized tom with a strong body build. You can see his muscles rippling under his fur sometimes. His noise is a cute little pink triangle, which doesn't complete the strong and fearsome look his size and build gives off. Steelpoint, surprisingly enough, is not a Grey colored cat, despite his name. No, that name was given to him for his eyes which are a shining silver color. Instead, his fur is that of a deep orange with black tabby stripes. It kinda gives him the appearance of a small tiger...so you'd think he'd be named Tiger-something. But no, it's all in the eyes. He can be considered one of the more odd-looking cats in BrookClan with that fur and eye combination.
Strengths: Naturally, Steelpoint is quite strong so that gives him a great ability to fight. No cat would really want to take a blow from one his massive paws. It's a truly impressive strength to see and any cat will have a hard time taking him down in battle, even if they have both speed and strength on their side.
Weaknesses: Poor lumbering oath. His speed is just not quite up to snuff. It's actually as staggering a weakness as his physical power is a strength. He can hardly hunt, he only manages to catch squirrels and a few field mice. Forget fish, birds and rabbits.
Personality: Steelpoint, in a nutshell, is sweet, lovable, kinda cute and...utterly clueless YET emotional aware.
Steelpoint could probably be considered the clown of the Brookclan. He's isn't really the smartest of the clan, which often gets him mistaken for being stupid. On the contrary, he's just very simple. He even talks in small words and small sentences...and has the voice of a giant. But that does not stop him from caring about others. If he sees someone sad, and it's not easy to hide sadness from the big kitty, he'll always try to comfort them. As a result he does have a really sweet disposition. Which is good, because you would not like him to get his feelings hurt. It's always bad when a giant is angry at you.
Likes: As said before, Steelpoint is a simple fellow. So he likes many simple things, even flowers. Scratch that...espicially flowers! But he also likes shiny pebbles and pretty green leaves. When it comes to other cats, he likes to hang around those with at least a generally good outlook on life. And as for his favorite prey...that would have to be squirrels...since sometimes those are the only things he can catch. Oh and his favorite animals besides cats? Frogs and snails.
Dislikes: Steelpoint generally dislikes cats with a negative attitude, even though sometimes he can't help but meet some in his clan. He keeps as far away from them as possible. He also has a hatred for badgers. It's a little hard for him to explain, but he just hates the way they seem to outgrow just about every cat, even though he's pretty darn close to their size himself. He also doesn't seem to appreciate things like dead leaves (He always has to crunch them into bits, which is very distracting for him ) , birds (which always escape his grasp) and bees (because they hurt when they sting! ).
History: Steelpoint hasn't had a very...eventful life in Brookclan.
He was born to a pretty tortoiseshell queen and a bright orange tabby tom. Obviously Steelpoint takes the most after his dad, looking just like him except having a darker shade of orange fur. Neither of Steelpoint's parents have his eyes though, and his mom decided that his eye color was his most stand-out feature so she named Steelkit, after the color of his eyes.
At the age of six moons, Steelpoint was apprenticed. Now, even at six moons, Steelpoint's bulky size was starting to come into play. Steelpoint was still growing, but his mentor focused him on fighting, seeing the potential Steelpoint's size presented him. His mentor did teach him how to hunt...but he never dwelled on it. Steelpoint was too frustrating to hunt with. The big cat could hardly ever catch anything! If he was lucky, he'd usually catch a mouse...maybe even a squirrel, but no more then two pieces of prey a day, if any.
Needless to say, this probably did hurt the tom's confidence...he didn't feel as useful to the Clan, because he couldn't catch much of anything for the Fresh Kill Pile. As an apprentice, Steelpoint tried desperately to improve his hunting skills. He would practice hunting birds, rabbits and sometimes even fish after his mentor left him for the day. But the only thing that really came out of that was his dislike and disinterest in birds. Yet, when he was out there, alone, he would often make friends with any of the frogs or snails that he saw. Frogs because they were such happy animals, content to just sit there and 'ribbet' and snails because they were just as slow as him.
It may, or may not have been a good thing that his mentor was only interested in his fighting abilities. It could be a good thing, because Steelpoint did grow into one heck of a powerful fighter. But it could be a bad thing, because the poor big kitty can't always even catch his own food and he can't seem to learn how because he has such a low running speed.
When the time came, Steelpoint was warriored. Happiest day of his life. Even though he still couldn't hunt very well. At that point, Steelpoint knew he probably never would be able to.
All seemed well with life in BrookClan until there was a drought. At first, Steelpoint didn't understand it very well, but when his frog and snail friends started disappearing, he understood it completely.
But that wasn't the worst. Before Steelpoint knew it, foxes seemed to invade everywhere! No clan was safe! BrookClan's deputy, killed! The leaders of TealClan, RavineClan and CherryClan were also killed. This invasion made Steelpoint angry, of course. He almost wished a fox would mess with him just so he could crush it...but he knew foxes were cunning...no single fox would want to take him on, even if they defiantly could cause some damage to him.
Still, the most shocking thing of all for him, and all the other BrookClanners was to find out that their beloved leader, the one whom had held the Warrior ceremony for him and many others, Fernstar, was behind all of this. She alone was the one who brought all these foxes here, though she had never meant for it to get so out of hand.
So Steelpoint watched as the other three Clans left the forest. Some BrookClanner's actually left the clan and went with them. Steelpoint didn't go with them, he couldn't just leave Fernstar...he knew she must have been feeling just awful, if not worse. It wouldn't feel right for him to leave and he'd probably just drag the other BrookClanners down by waiting for him while he trailed behind them. But he wasn't mad at the other BrookClanners for leaving either. In a way, he also couldn't blame them...they left because they just wanted to have better lives in the future, right? He could understand wanting to be happy.
Other: Most of this stuff was copied and pasted from Taragoff. I hope nobody minds, but since I never got to roleplay this lovely character much, nothing changed about him. Also, I did read the rules on the names, so I must ask, is 'Steel' okay to use? I only ask because I'm honestly not sure.
Roleplay Example:
A noise could be heard nearby, where the three cats were talking. Thump...THUMP... THUMP!
"Noooooooooooooo!" came a loud oath-like yell. The thump noise was getting closer...louder. "I'm gonna get you, you just wait!" Yelled a low, yet loud voice...the kind you would expect a giant to have. The thumping noise got even closer...louder.
If any of the cats were paying attention to their surroundings, they may notice a little snail, nearby, was slithering toward a rock. It was cute little pink snail...it wasn't going fast at all...and it didn't even seem to notice that a huge, orange cat with black stripes was coming for it.
"Humpth!" came a grunt, and the huge cat seemed to go flying through the air...but...then he tripped and fell down. Right in front of the three other clanners. He shook the ground as he fell down, possibly throwing those around him off balance.
"Ohhhhh..." he moaned sadly, as he watched, with shocking silver eyes, as the snail crawled to safety behind the rock. When he looked up, who else should the huge tom see, but the leader himself. "AH!" the cat moaned again, though in slowly drawn out voice and got up, quickly smoothing his fur down with his tongue. He failed to catch a snail...and right in front of the leader too...how embarrassing for him.
"Uhhh...hi everyone." He said, when he was done with his fur, his shiny silver eyes now staring at the other three clanners. Enter Steelpoint, Behemoth of BrookClan.
